Desert Dreams Dancewear started with an eight year old's fascination with a dancer who could make hip coins jingle. Even at that young age something stirred inside of me, I wanted to make hip coins jingle!!!! I never gave up on that idea even though life took me in different directions, I never forgot about that dancer with the jingling coins. Today I love making coins jingle!!!! I love the dance and I love all of the wonderful, amazing people who are belly dancers. From my earliest days of making dresses for my dolls out of Kleenex, my desires for bringing fantasy to life have progressed. I delight in the creation of a beautiful costume. I embrace the task of transforming everyday people into the exquisitely exotic creatures known as belly dancers. Words cannot describe the excitement I feel when gazing on a fine piece of fabric or touching silk, soft as a whisper. Give me sparkles, spangles, jewels and bling. Give me texture, textiles, beads, tassels and well worn metal, my imagination just runs wild and I am, at last, in my element. When I gaze upon the face of a dancer performing, all decked out in their costume finery, it brings tears to my eyes and joy to my soul. To all of you who have a dream, I say live your dream.
